Enviro vol. 1

This collection of music is largely inspired by Kankyō Ongaku, or “environmental music". This is a Japanese genre of music that was established in the 1980s as a reaction to the rapid urbanization and economic development of the time. Influenced by Erik Satie and Brian Eno, it consists of minimalist electronica infused with the ambient sounds of nature. These sounds were specifically created for environments or spaces that would invoke the listeners sonic exploration of that space. Meant to be played at a low volume to enhance the experience of the surrounding environment.
